Lexie & Joseph finished up swim lessons on Friday. During their 2 weeks of lessons they made some real progress. They learned to like putting their faces in the water & Lexie even opens her eyes in the water now. Joseph's favorite things about swim lessons were the alligator & crab crawls. Lexie's favorite thing was learning to float. Mom learned that bribing the kids with cookies works really well. After days 2-3 when the kids got "scared" of putting their faces in the water. So, before lessons on day 4 we made cookies that they could have only if they did a good job & tried everything Miss Jordan (their teacher) asked them to do. We were amazed by how well they did things which they were previously too afraid to try. The kids ask to go swimming every day (they like to "play swim lessons" & take turns being the teacher). They are always excited to show Dad the things they learned in their lessons.
Thanks Jordan for sticking with them. We had a great time!

ReplyDeleteIt was fun, wasn't it? I enjoyed having them in class! Nothing makes me more proud than a kid that will put their face in after a session. Way to go Lexi and Joseph!
Your kids are so cute. I love the pool. We are starting lessons on Monday. Can't wait.
